‘As far as everybody knows, we're just a nice normal family’
The fact that the Bellamy Brothers have had 20 #1 hits and sold 40 million albums is completely beside the point. They’re just family, doing what families do.
Each episode brings new misadventures -- from ranching to recording, from touring the world to running their own record company and trying to help guide the careers of the next generation of Bellamys -- they’re trying to control the chaos of world touring from their old family ranch in central Florida.
Ranch Life
The Ranch
When the Bellamy’s aren’t touring the world performing their No. 1 hits, Howard and David head the bus back to the family ranch in Darby, Florida. Located just north of Tampa, the working ranch is home to purebred Brahma cattle, crossbred cows, quarter horses and three generations of the Bellamy family. The ranch was purchased in 1870 by the Bellamy’s great-great-grandfather Abraham and has been the family’s homestead ever since. Fans will get an inside look at what life on the ranch is like in their new reality series, “Honky Tonk Ranch.” The series is headed by Howard and David as well as Susan (David’s wife), their cousin HC Young and most of David and Howard’s children, depending on who is on the road performing themselves. Between the fruit trees, ancient oaks and crepe myrtles, the series follows the chaos from one household to another on the lush land of the ranch.
